Research Interests

Microscopic spectroscopy clarifies the properties of materials via the interactions between light and molecules under a microscope. One of our challenges is to see what nobody knows by microscopic spectroscopy. We provide the next-generation photonics by innovating the microscopic spectroscopy and apply it to biomedical applications by interdisciplinary approaches of photonics, medicine, engineering, and so on.

Next-generation Microscopic Spectroscopy

Raman spectroscopy provides information about the molecular structures of samples without any treatment. Optical-frequency-comb enables to full-utilisation of the characteristics of light (intensity, phase, polarisation, frequency, waveform, etc.). We try to innovate the microscopic spectroscopy by utilising these technologies.

Interdisciplinary Researches for Medicine and Photonics

We utilise microscopic spectroscopy technology to develop the innovative medical platform, such as myocardial infarction diagnosis, peripheral nerve detection and liver disease diagnosis. We try to provide creativity in super-ageing society by photonics.
